Synopsis

 

After nearly a decade of war and disease, humanity was on the brink of extinction. Earth was in ruins, and all her inhabitants were powerless to change course. Then as if by some miracle, a star-faring race set up shop in Earth's atmosphere and pulled humanity out of certain destruction. Now, thanks to alien Smartfield technology, no human need ever know war, sickness, pain, or even blood. Trifles like handshakes, sex, and childbirth are mere vestiges of old Earth, for every aspect of life today is pristine, automated, and peaceful.
